Beverley Levy

I moved to Suffolk in 1992, to work for the Probation Service followed by social work, including as a Practice Educator with social work students, until my retirement in 2017.  When I started living in Suffolk there was no organised Jewish community, and, with others, we created the Suffolk Liberal Jewish Community which exists today to provide a programme of services, and the occasional social event. I have been involved in the research project initiated by SIFRE, into ‘spiritual care in residential homes’ and am a Chaplain at the University of Suffolk. I am a qualified yoga teacher and run a U3A yoga class. I am a trustee of the Ipswich Faith and Community Forum, and my main contribution to this for the past few years has been to co-ordinate HMD (Holocaust Memorial Day).
